#44381 Risa - The Star Trek Social Media Site

Posted by Richard Evans on 28 December 2013 - 12:55 PM

Risa is a Star Trek Social Media website designed and built by Star Trek fans. It allows fans to communicate in a social media platform to express their feelings and share their stories. The idea behind this website was to create one social platform where all fans can come together, to share in their stories and meet new people. You might know us as The Data Network.

Risa utilizes the best features of Facebook and Twitter and combining them together, with some more features specific to the network. We are constantly working on the network to make it better, and we are supported by donations from its users, and advertisement. We are hoping with more users joining the network, we will be able to set the network up as a Not-for-profit company.

We would like to ask all Star Trek fans to visit our website and see it. We have big plans for 2014, and we would love to share them with you. Our website is: http://goo.gl/gJsMU9

Live Long and Prosper

#43161 Voyager A Map

Posted by Richard Evans on 06 December 2012 - 02:44 PM

Hey All,

Does anyone still have the old Voyager-A map?

I remember it was a big map (like atlantis) but more stable. It was amazing.

Anyone know where I can download it? Or does someone have it to download?

#43157 Another attempt

Posted by Richard Evans on 04 December 2012 - 11:46 AM

I do not wish to interrupt this argument, but this is clearly a personal matter between two members of the forums, and I certainly don't want to see this in a public area, as I'm sure other people are. To me, this is a private matter.

So I pose a question to you both,

Is it worth arguing in public?

On behalf of those not brave enough to post this, I ask that this argument is continued in private, where members and guests can't see it.

#43142 New Idea for Star Trek Fans

Posted by Richard Evans on 29 November 2012 - 12:15 PM

Hey guys,

I've got a new idea for a iPad app. I don't want to go into too much detail, as I don't want to reveal too much, however, I will be gathering a team of people who would be willing to develop this app with me.

I am looking for someone with a Mac, or Mac mini for the SDK for the iPad.

Here is the idea for the app:

A user downloads the application from the App Store, and they are promoted with a login screen, onto which they can either start a new game, or continue. The user will then have full control of the LCARS computer, depending on which class they have chosen. They will go through a series of missions using the LCARS system.

If you are interested in hearing more about the app, and want to be of assistance, then please contact me.

I will be looking for:

- IPad coder and programmer (with Mac)
- Mission Writer
- Sound Technician
- Voice Actors
- Adobe Flash Expert
- Graphics Designer

#43056 RPG-X Server Set Up Guide

Posted by Richard Evans on 04 November 2012 - 03:17 PM

Could Ubergames create a server set up guide for a Linux dedicated server. All from creating a screen, and a user, to creating an effective log. And could the guide be n00b proof for those who aren't very technical, so it is explained in detail and given as step by step.

#43029 Voyager Map

Posted by Richard Evans on 26 October 2012 - 04:02 PM

Hey Guys,

I am sure that there was a voyager map that had more features in in, like a transporter room, astrometics, sickbay etc. However, I can't find it.

Anyone remember or know of the map?

#42536 S31 Changes to [SC]

Section 31 Roleplay has recently closed it doors on any and all applications and to its current officers. However, the Senior Officers of Section 31 Roleplay decided that closing it's doors was not the best option, however, a complete re-brand and makeover was the best option.

As many of community members know, Section 31 is assiociated as the Federation's Under-ground agency, that is rouge. No one particually likes them. It has been recognised that it has become a hindrance in activity and gaining new members, so with this, we decided to change our name, and start afresh.

Before we announced that S31 is closing, we posted about an event that we wanted to share with the community. Well, we still wish to do this, however, we shall be moving this date forward untill we get ourselves set up.

We are still getting ourselves together, however, we are accepting provisional applications, and we ask any community member to check us out. Currently, we still look like the old S31, however, we are working very hard to change things, and gain more graphics.

We are a group of people aiming to create a welcoming environment, onto which our officers can relax and enjoy their time. We are always striving for perfection in creating the best roleplaying environment. Whether your an experienced roleplayer, or just starting out, we hope that you can learn all you need from us, in order to become a well known player of the RPG-X Community.

Not only do we roleplay using RPG-X, We are starting to move into other games. For example, we are learning how to play Bridge Commander.
