I've managed to sort of fix the posting problem... it was to do with the WYSIWYG editor... the buttons are being read as images by my browser and can't be used, I don't think it's something I've done as other vB forums (such as the STO ones) work fine... so I'm not sure what to make of it... either way I can now make simple, no formatting posts :)
