8gb ram?! omg :) I'm jealous.

Ahaha not as jealous as I am of my friend. He has 12GB. XD

8GB coupled with Windows 7 is pretty smooth tho. ^_^

And yeah, I agree with Brex. I'm sure with proper sharpening and the proper insertion vector, RAM could cut you a new artery. :$

If only paging files and 'Vista Ready Boost' worked the way it was supposed to :D

With that much RAM, you don't really need a paging file.

I'm talking about using a 16GB HDD as RAM, if that was possible I could partition the 1TB drive I'm hopefully getting for my laptop :D

Hard drives are not fast enough, which is why we have RAM. One of the criticisms of ReadyBoost was that the overhead combined with the slower speed of the storage medium (flash drive or turbo memory) negated the benefits. For your laptop, I would recommend a fast solid state drive.

If it comes in 1TB (and under the extortionate price 64GB does) I'll consider it :)

Sorry for small bump.

Received money, oh and a trip of a lifetime to Hong Kong, New Zealand and San Francisco. :P
