A few problems I'm having with rpgxEF

Not sure if this is the right forum for it, but whenever I set /r_bloom 1, it gives me an error: WARNING: 'R_InitBloomTextures' too high resolution for light bloom, effect disabled.'

 

I run at 1440x900 in windowed mode, and have tried the game in 640x480 fullscreened, with the same issue.

 

Is anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it?

I'm also having problems with several maps. Scanning around Cassini_Beta3 with the tricorder brought down my server, and all variants of Poseidon-A cause a client crash on load. Yager-E_Final, RPG_Relativity, V2-Poseidon-A, and USS_Poseidon-A all cause a client crash.

 

EDIT: My client also appears to be completely incapable of remembering my settings, so I created an autoexec.cfg that binds everything on startup.

I am running Windows 8 Pro with an AMD Radeon HD 6970 and the latest Catalyst drivers. (OpenGL 6.14.10.11931) Eitherway, I don't understand why it is using this erroneous driver. Additionally, no matter what I do, I cannot set fs_homepath. Keeps telling me it's read only (even if I put it in the shortcut).

That sounds like problems similar to those that were there wenn Windows Vista was first released. I hope these will be solved soon same as they were when Vista was released.

So... when Windows 9 gets released? Hehe.

 

As it happens, Odyssey also has this problem (or a slight variant), and is running Windows 7.

 

We're both running from the RPG-XCE release.

Actually, I'm having a new problem on Poseidon B, when entering the bridge.

 

I can't give a condump though, the console log doesn't appear complete.

 

The error given, however, is "RF_BeginFrame() - glGetError() failed (0x501)!"
