I just had to lean the hard way. Hopefully I can spare you this experience.

A few days ago I've updated my PC tu use windows 8 (It ain't all that bad actually. You get used to the new features and modifications quite fast). Yesterday I tried to launch RPG-X with the correct drivers for my AMD/ATI Graphics Card installed. Let's just say the game ran at about 2 seconds per (rendered) frame. I tried to launch original Holomatch and got the following error.

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

after a bit of research it seems that there is an issue with windows 8 and the opengl-libraries in the ADM/ATI-Drivers. I'm trying to find a driver that is not having this issue, however until then I recomend that those who have an ADM/ATI graphics card stick with windows 7 or earlier.

Aw criminey. O_O

There'll be a fix for that coming out right? Windows 8 didn't just kill EF Holomatch for good did it?

Hopefully, minecraft for example is affected as well... Luckily just ADM/ATI cards are affected. My Girlfriend uses nVidea and the game runs smoothly.

BTW: renaming the executable quake3 didn't help here.

If you change the .exe file to "WolfSP.exe" it works fine, I have discovered. But you can only have it on either RPG-X, or SP, or holo match
