What i mean is a crew that you could make up from the character list that just kept doing what you told it via the console (ie. /tuvoc_red_alert) and it did it. Or in the menu different crew members are listed and commands you can give them. You could then make quite complex rpg's by yourself.

This would be in-effective for RPG-X as it is designed for many people to roleplay at once - Up to 32 players for example. Having pre-made crew is nice when you've got 2-3 people, but there are still many plot ideas to be played with just 2-3 people.

In addition, bots or NPC's aren't supported with RPG-X

And instead of directly putting it in the mod itself make an add-on modd and then even if there are just 2 or 3 people you can still act like your operating a starship :-)

As u said up to 32 people can join in but the nx-01 had 70 odd crew so your still about 40 short and you could have npcs/bots take over the rest of the roles. On a biggership such as most mods are you'd need maybe more than that ob sole mods or especially on a space station

... So you're suggesting a system that'll read a file that holds positions, viewing-angles, models and emotes and does a spawn with that at map-init?... Would be possible I guess, however there is a limit on how many visible entities (including clients, usables, bots...) an be on a map at any time and things get very nasty very quickly if you hit that limit.

It's not rubbish per se. With the current limits it is just not freasable.
