Sooo, some invites to some new online gadgety thing that Google's been working on lately was released quite recently. :P

From the way I've been hearing it, Google Wave is going to re-engineer the internet by doing away with the archaic concept of email and replacing it with a much more streamlined method of communication.

So far, Dom and I both have both managed to snaffle invites, and we're looking at trying to get some of our own to invite more people.

In any case... while it looks quite interesting, until more people start using it, I've got nothing I can do with it (That or I'm a n00b that doesn't know how to work it XD)

Has anyone else got an invite or any comments on what they think of Wave?

After a few minutes of spamming Twitter, I managed to get myself a Google Wave invite. It took four days to arrive, but the wait was well worth it: Wave is awesome Is anyone else on?

Unfortunately it's a dead technology, I wouldn't invest too much time in it.

Google decided to kill it.

I loved it at the time, although there were many things that needed improvement. I was in my final year of university and we used it for quite a lot of projects. They have released a wave server you can run your self. They were going to shut Wave down completely but I'm not sure what happened to those plans.

For now, Google seem to be integrating some of the features (live updating etc) in to their existing Google Docs platform. I think this is a good idea, since the world didn't appear to be ready for Google Wave.

Maybe the market got cancelled because we didn't hear much from it?

Either way... this is the first I'd heard of this lol
What was it?

Too bad I can't see its e-mail address. Most likely it will pop up on several spambot lists out there. Then again, Ubergames always had a tendancy NOT to recognize spambots unless it was too late . . .

I pity the fool who cannot recognize the spambot when he sees one . . .

Don't report it. Just walk away. XD

Also, if they look genuine, I'd rather run the risk of talking to a spam bot than shunning a real person. :)

I wonder how many "newest members" registered here in 2011 alone are real people. In fact, if I were to get an euro for each spambot who has registered here, I would be pretty rich by now.

It's a spambot. You won't see it again since it has already achieved for what it was designed to do . . .
