I'm making a few changes to my set-up which includes a new bigger monitor, now this is my problem as currently I use a TV connected to my base unit and have Sky and a VCR connected to it as well. What I want to do is still be able to use these all on my new monitor which only has a VGA input.
My solution that I'm currently thinking of is using my scart switch box and get a component to VGA cable which goes into a a VGA spitter and for the sound a phono to 3.5mm cable for the Sky and VCR while the monitor has sound into the scart box and VGA direct to the switch that then connects to the monitor.
The scart box has 3 inputs - 1 Sky, 2 VCR, 3 PC Sound.
And 3 Outputs, 1 unused scart and 2 component, for for speakers and VGA, one for PC TV card.
The reason for this is so I can still have Sky when the computer is not on as I like to turn it off when not in use to be green.
What do people think to this idea?

Thanks
