Well, I was getting overly annoyed at my regular planet filters when trying to create a skybox for a map, and I ended up finding some tutorials and created this from scratch. I've never done a from the ground up image in photoshop before, so Im rather a chuffed with this...

so go on, tear it apart, tell me why it fails so I can do it better next time.

Nice work there, I assume you added noice and then leveld the noise for the star field, and then added clouds, coloured them and screened it for the nebula effect?

I think the first one works a little better than the second. Seems like there is too much light coming off the near side of the planet in the second pic.

I like them both, nice work.

Have you got the link to the tutorial handy?

Second one is ALOT better. The random orange circles from the lens flare ect kill it. Try adding a new layer filled with back and then add the lens flare on top.

Its a bump, but at least we're getting to see the nice skybox textures again; which is a good thing.
