Scifi plus western is always awesome. This is an incontrovertible fact.

No offense, but don't try and make everyone else's opinion wrong other than your own or try and force your opinion on others. At least be open-minded to others' views rather than denying them.

I'm just curious as to whether theres any Firefly/Serenity fans around here :P

One of the best TV series of the past decade and probably the only series from Joss Wheadon that I can bear watching . . .

Why is it when someone says "no offense", they really mean "kiss my ass"?

This is not forcing someone's view:

It's a general opinion, I wasn't even replying to you. It's not an attack, and the tone of the post was light-hearted.

I would have said the same thing if we were in the same friggin room. This isn't some smartass attack or campaign to convert you. Lighten up.

Perfect example of why people genuinely say it.

Firefly is amazing, why is it the amazing shows get cancelled and the gorram awful shows have seasons upon seasons of ruttin' rubbishy nonsense! *sigh*

When FireFly was originally broadcast, Fox didn't air the episodes in the correct sequence and omitted three of them from being shown. This resulted in a lack of continuity and a reasonably hard to understand plot, ultimately this meant the show received low ratings and was cancelled.

Only once FireFly was aired in the correct order by the Sci-Fi channel, did the show become the iconic piece of awesomeness it is now.

Fox really did mistreat firefly =S Joss said he would never work with them again - but has obviously since returned as the same people who did that to Firefly have since gone.

I don't know about that, Joss has been messed around with Dollhouse quite a bit as well. Production has been stopped, started, stopped, started and all over several times just because Fox wasn't happy with what he was doing.

He is quoted as having said it's not as bad as what they did with FireFly, but it's not exactly happy families.

The original is pretty darn awesome too, scale wise it's not fantastic; but overall it is made of win and epic.
