Hi roleplayers and RPG-X fans :),

I'm Captain B'Elanna Torres of the Brave Explorers Role Play Group.
I'll write and publish the description of our story etc. in German, since we're only having German RP's at the moment and due to that are looking for German- speaking (if you don't you're of course also welcome, maybe we can establish an English division of our group in the future ;) ) We have 18 members at the moment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story/Plot:

In order to be able to join our servers you need our rankset:

Be nice people. I have a pretty good idea of what you want to say in reply to this thread.

I dunno, they have 18 people already. Sadly, I don't RP much anymore except on Voyager-A. But it sounds like you have a plan, good luck.

...What were you expecting people to say Scooter? :S

Now my post in english:

Is it a sibling group to GERP or maybe New Hope?
My second question would be: Why a new group?
Sorry to sound blunt, but I dont believe that german groups are working out in RPG-X anymore.

How often we tried that. GERP, New Hope, NERP.
Always the same people runnng the groups as admins, just with diffrent nicknames, after a half year or less they loose interest and just forma diffrent group out of the blue with a diffrent Shipname and stuff, but alway the same people.

My opinion is: Try joining a good, existing english group, keep them alive and have fun.

Be nice people. I have a pretty good idea of what you want to say in reply to this thread.

It's when the group is made by the most random people in the community, who have always demonstrated a lust for power, or just joined the RPG-X community is when I have gripe. ;)

Anyways, welcome to the RPG-X forums.

Joe Riker is not a member of our group anymore, just have a look at our crewlist.

We kicked him out because of his behaviour and I can understand why you think this way, we had some bad experience with him as well and that's why he's banned from our servers.

Edit: His account on our forum has been deleted as well, it seems that I forgot that :S

We're not a sibling group of any other group and we're not that "new" as you might think, our group was founded last year in October, but without a 24 hours server and a "big" forum.

Always the same people runnng the groups as admins, just with diffrent nicknames, after a half year or less they loose interest and just forma diffrent group out of the blue with a diffrent Shipname and stuff, but alway the same people.

We're not "the same people", some of our members (myself included) haven't even heard of RPG-X before we founded "Brave Explorers", so I'm sorry to say that, but you're definitely wrong there, because all of our admins haven't played RPG-X for more than half a year now.

My opinion is: Try joining a good, existing english group, keep them alive and have fun.

You know, I would be interested in, what English- speaking people would say if someone would try to force them to join a German RP group.
Some of our members might be able to speak and understand English, but not all, and even those who can; it's a big difference if you're RPing in the language you speak everyday or "only" in one that you more or less only use in school.

Besides all that: I think that German groups work out fine; we're having a RP every day at the moment (in German and with our members only) and at least four or five people play along, so I'm sure, that this is going to work.

But it sounds like you have a plan, good luck.

Thank you :)

Anyways, welcome to the RPG-X forums.

Thank you, too; it's nice to be here :)

I am sorry then. Error on my part. I just read some familar names in there.
If you have an RP everyday, that is very impressive. I cant remember when this happens to roleplay servers, its been years no, since I ve seen people RPing on a server every day. Good old times in ERP :D

Well then I wish you luck with your endeavours.

Of course we also have members that are playing RPG-X for much longer, but those aren't admins, that's what I meant.

Thank you; just have a look at our logs and you'll see what I mean by "RP every day". ;)

well, first of all, good look with your group, other than most of the recently founded groups this one seems like one with a resonable concept and goal.

let me add though that many Germans prefer to roleplay in English (including me). Most of the german roleplayers who do want to roleplay in German are member of New Hope. I don't say this in order to tell you "forget RPs in German, you won't get enough players", but as an advice to, instead of creating an English-speaking "division", have a German division, and let the main forums and SRPs be held in English. As I said, just a suggestion to attract new members, who do not speak German.

Again, good luck with your group!

One sidenote: strange thing, there are English-speaking and German-speaking groups in RPG-X. Usually it's the French who refuse to speak English (and I've had that confirmed by a French!). Strange, really.

At first, thank you for wishing us luck, your compliment and your advice, I really appreciate suggestions, but the problem is that there are some german people (believe it or not) who aren't able to have an English RP.

And as I said it's quite a difference, if you're having an RP in your first language or in one, that you doesn't speak or use in "everyday life".

When I first heard of RPG-X and joined a server I had RP's in English only. I had a lot of fun and thought about joining an English RP group, but after having a RP in German decided against it, because you have far more possibilities.

Yes I know, obviously there aren't many french players out there playing RPG-X ;)

sorry i am late on this, but welcome.

I saw your group and talked to some members from new hope....as far as peoples doubt on this group...it is not a n00b group...most are respected german roleplayers most of you have never seen before....I have rarely, because i was a member of new hope prior to its shut down....so this is a normal group..so i agree with scooters first post

I have known that this is a good group since I first read the name in the list...and mistook it for an english server :)
I'm wishing you all the best of luck, and I'd love to join, should you decide to establish an english division, as I sadly speak no german at all.

Best of luck from

Let me give one suggestion:

Use a diffrent Forum Software :P
No offense but the SMF isnt the kind of board I would use, or be a member on it.

I recommend, use phpBB3 Olympus, or Invision Powerboards, or use vBulletin.
The other softwares are just ... uhm ... in my opinion.

Just a suggestion:)

I have much experience with Invision ad phpBB3, just in case you like it, I can help you setting it up.

Thank god you were being sarcastic.

New Hope is always packed full of German RPers :P

Welcome to RPG-X :) Nice to see a .. "formal" group starting :)
