Start of the Serial Roleplay: January '09
Community state: Recruiting// Looking for crew

Map: ussvoyager-a *



The Player Stories:
  • Your character is serving aboard the USS Voyager
  • You can create a Recurring Character for one of the NPC Ships, for further Backstories and Characterdevelopment
  • Every position including the CO is available. Choose wisely
  • The new Voyager is considered not canon. The storyline is 13 years post End-Game
  • The horizon is open for anything you can imagine. Since the Delta Quadrant is not completly known, theres alot of room for your creativity
The Community
  • Everything on the Voyager's Forums is around Voyager and Trek in general.
  • Star Trek: Voyager is a standalone serial roleplaygame, and is not associated to any Elite Force RPG-X Groups. So if you enter, please leave RPG-Group Issues outside
  • With Voyager beeing a neutral place, we stay away from accepting ambassadors or creating embassys for any Roleplaying groups. We just play the game
Website, Forums & Server
  • The Website is under continuing development. In the future you can find refferences from the ships and its crew. Also the plot progress including scientific data will be integrated within the website for refference
  • The Forums is set up and ready to go
  • Actually the Voyager Serial RP doesent own a Server, but we are looking for one. If you know a good hoster with fair bills let us know.
This is the attend to create a full blown serial RP, with everything included.
Keeping high levels of Roleplaying and having a lot of fun. Probably some of you might ask why this Roleplay starts in January.

I know this is a long time and why rather joining now.

I tell you. I want to get things well prepared. Everyone should get the chance to get his/her favourite role in-game. In case anyone wants to switch positions before the launch date it is possible. Or probably someone cannot attend anymore and needs to quit, we can sort this out before the storyline is too far in progress.

I ve learned from the past. Good things will take awhile. Probably some of you might share this thinking.

I am open for any questions you might have. Post them here or ask on the Voyager Forum.

nice sig...i dont think i have time atm...maybe i can....keep a position open for me.....maybe KF can host...we would love to provide our space...and as far as egos go....LEAVE THEM AT THE DOOR!

Here are some pictures and some informations about the retextured map we are using for roleplaying

Mapname: ussvoyager-a (rpg_atlantis retexture)
New Sounds: Yes
New Textures: Yes

Short Description: The map is the same as Atlantis though. But it isnt a retexture just. I replaced a few sounds though, and the LCARS comes in a diffrent colorshematics.

For the sounds:
  • replaced torpedo firing sound
  • replaced phaser firing sound
  • replaced doorsounds with the Nemesis Door Sound
and that are just a few examples. If you wander around the map you will noticed several sound changes ;)


For the textures:
  • used brighter textures for the wall
  • replaced the grey carpet with blue carpet
  • created a unique MSD for the Vivica Class
  • Changed the colorshematics of the LCARS to Dark Blue
  • Used Voyager Doors (made by Scooter) and colored them gray
  • Changed the coretextures. When you turn it off its black as it is supposed to be
  • The core movers are more glowish now.
So thats the new Voyager. I need to get some permissions before I release this to effiles.com though, but I felt that I could show it though.

Also I am browsing effiles.com for potential Away Mission Maps, wich fit the Delta Quadrant atmosphere, and I found some though but later more.

Probably this is going to be interesting

I love how you made it easier to see. I'm not sure why you called the mess hall a casino, but maybe that's just some kind of translation error? I think this might actually be a retexture that isn't extremely farfetched. You'll have my download.

I'm wondering how the re-texture might effect the Poseidon B, since the two maps have a few textures in common. That said, I very much like how that looks - it has a rather TNGish feel to it.

I hope the original authors know about this map, it's a good conversion of course, but there was no sidenote anywhere about Will & Ant, so I just wasn't sure if they do know about it. If they did, I think they'd agree though because this conversion look really good. :)

Cris, I know you're not the specialist of English language, but do you really want to keep the intro plaque (the one you've posted on the top) as it is? There are quite a lot of typos in it, and I know your professionalism, the will to make the best projects (and you've done them more than once, I know it) ... so it would look much better if the plaque was without typos to make this entire project even more professional.

The USS Voyager-A was launched on Stardate 60076.3 on Mars Fleet Yards, Sol Sector.

Being the second ship to wear that name, the USS Voyager-A is the newest ship in the fleet and equipped with the latest technology like the previous ship, the USS Voyager (Intrepid Class).

The first mission of the USS Voyager-A is a new five year mission in the Delta Quadrant.

Equipped with the latest Slipstream drive (no comma) which has been improved and fitted for Starfleet needs, the journey to the Delta Quadrant is estimated to take 3 months only to get to the farthest point of the quadrant (where the previous Voyager started her way back home). - Full stop at the end, but not in front of the brackets.

13 years after the return of the previous Voyager, Starfleet decided to explore the Delta Quadrant and get in contact with some former Voyager allies again. Which ship would fit this job better than the new USS Voyager-A?

With the problems in the Delta Quadrant (no comma) Captain Janeway had faced with her crew (no comma) in mind, the Voyager won't be the only ship going that far out of Federation space.

Starfleet assembled a small task force consisting of 3 other ships (no comma) building the Delta-Quadrant Science Initiative (DSI).

Ships of the task force:
(only 1 space instead of 2 ... makes you save some KB's in this huge picture)

@Muzzy: If I get permission from the authors, I will release it on effiles.com

@Hocking: The retex effect to consoles on the poseidon-b, the Helmsconsole and the Transporterroomconsole, also the sounds I replaced will affect the common sounds, of any map, so if you dont like them, I recommend better not to use the rextexture, or if you have the WinRAR addon for PK3 remove the soundfiles if you wish ;)

@Bluefox: I still call you my friend, there were disturbance between u, but its not all your fault, its mine too. I might speak to you, but I am mvoing to another town. But If you want step by the forums and leave me some posts. I might check it u, when I get the time

Well it looks very impressive, based on those screenshots.

Though I'm honestly not fond of retextures all that much, so my using one is a rarity. However if you're able to release that, it is something I would like to make use of. :)

Or just right click it and click open with winzip. works for me =P
(Or swap the .zip to .pk3. they're the same)

Chris, I really really love what you have done here. I think it looks great! I would love to join the RP, too. I went and signed up at the Voyager-A web-sight, too. The only thing i need now is a post!!! (i like helm, tac, and ops the best) PM me about this once you get the chance, plz.

It does look impressive, but I don't think the photoshopping of the screenshots was necessary
