:P

I never said that.. did I? :B

Starfighter Command is a starbase based in orbit of planet Modas and contains the shuttles which should protect the colony and the planet. But never mind..lol

I was also under the impression you were making a ship.

Then the facilities should be larger :P

Like make the bridge slightly larger, and sickbay, shuttle bay... idk ... make it unique if its not going to be a star ship :) A star base a little extra fat on the gluteus maximus for power!

It's looking great though!

I'd not make it so big. Starbases can be small (outposts), and most of the time, places will look empty when only roleplaying with 4/5 on the server.

I think if a starbase was large enough, they'd have multiple sets of everything, rather than huge ones.

Lookin good man, I can see a lot of hard work went into this. Anyhoo, I have a suggestion, if you make a Science Lab, make it a bit more multipurpose. Most maps have a lab that would be well suited for Stellar Cartography or Planetary Science. Stick a few cabinets, specimen cylinders and miscellanious doo-dahs to differentiate it from other console-filled rooms and make it more lab-y.
And I'm really lovin that corridor.

Thank you guys :D ... well I don't know if I'll add a science lab because Starfighter Command is mainly meant to be a military base. But let's see, why not?... :P

Update: the New-Hope forum is online again :P

Update 2: Screenshot (posted on EF-Files.. unfortunately there're 33 POTD's waiting to be published now :S )

Currently there're 4 shuttles and 5 shuttle-stations (one is empty because otherwise I think it gets kind of boring). So the deck is even more huge than shown here. ;)

Thank you

Another question about the shuttles, will there be other types than the type 9 or is that it?

Well, good question Arron, but unfortunately I'm not able to make any models myself. At the very beginning I planed to integrate the planetary interceptor (USS Victory) but it's too complicated to do everything in the first version.

But let's see, if I can find some other shuttles... that would be cool and look ways better :D

If the RPG-X devs(or whatever party this concerns) would allow you, I believe they have a different type of shuttle used in various RPG-X / RPG-X2 maps

You could always ask if you could port a modders shuttles from another game. There some very good shuttles in Bridge Commander. Infact, theres a free use type 9 shuttle there that is loads better then the stock one shipped with EF1.

http://bridgecommand...9_shuttle;55557

If you want anymore shuttles, let me know. I know alot of the modders in the BC community and there are some really good models avaliable in that game.

About the shuttle scaling though, in all honesty, the shuttles in the pic on page 1 of this thread look way too big.

Hmm... anybody have the ability to convert that shuttle to MD3 format? I'd like to try replacing the stock shuttle in the game.

Give me 2 minutes. :D

EDIT: Its a 3DS format mesh. I can import it into Milkshape 3D without any problems. However, when trying to export it as a Quake III arena MD3, I get an error saying 'Couldnt find control file' followed by the directory path to my desktop.

Sorry for steering this off topic. Just thought I would try to help.

Thanks for trying. I see there's quite a few public domain meshes on BCFiles, and I think all of them would be useful to somebody. I'll start a new thread so that this one can get back on-topic.
